Background:Alex Everest is the President and Managing Broker of Broker of Record Solutions, Inc.
Alex has served as the 'Broker of Record' for a wide-variety of commercial real estate transactions including; retail, medical, self-storage, industrial, assisted living, offices, government, and land. In addition, he has successfully argued regulatory matters before multiple real estate commissions, passed every audit he's ever been involved in, and successfully defended all civil cases in his favor. Prior to co-brokering transactions with an out-of-state licensee, Alex considers multiple sources including, but not limited to; transaction state statutes, licensing laws, license portability experts, real estate brokerage law attorneys, and also his own interpretation of licensing laws and how they're enforced across the country. In some states in which licensing laws are especially vague with respect to co-brokering with an out-of-state licensee, he seeks guidance letters from the various real estate commissions. Alex understands that regulatory compliance is an essential part of a successful broker's business model. Many brokers run afoul of the law for years before ending up in very costly litigation and regulatory investigations. To avoid this risk, he will work with you to understand your business model, clearly explain compliance matters, and facilitate a smooth transactional process. This will help ensure that you are maintaining the highest level of regulatory compliance and mitigating your civil risk, while still allowing you to broker your transactions with as much autonomy as possible. While some brokers are initially wary that compliance efforts will slow down their transactional process, they quickly discover that our process is simple, effective, and has little to no impact on their ability to be responsive to their clients. Education:The University of Minnesota, Carlson School of Management-Bachelors of Science in Business, Finance
