Lease Transaction Advertising Guidance

State Laws Vary - Subject to Approval
  • Advertising includes, but is not limited to; offering memorandums, email marketing campaigns, website listings, and/or advertising on third-party websites.
  • Firm names can be included on the 1st page, but do not list brokers or salespeople on the first page.
  • Use a separate, dedicated page to list firm names and corresponding brokers and salespeople. Keep them visually separate and distinct.
  • Broker of Record and out-of-state Broker must be displayed. This includes the firm and individual broker's name.
  • Broker of Record must be displayed on every page in which the out-of-state licensee is listed.
  • Broker of Record must be displayed in close proximity to the out-of-state licensee.
  • Broker of Record must be displayed in the same font size, type, and color as the out-of-state licensee.
  • An out-of-state licensee should be highlighted as a primary contact (see example below) on all pages in which our contact info is listed.. Tenants and outside brokers should know the best person to contact when they have questions or seek additional information.
  • Include the Agency Disclosure and Co-Brokerage Notice at the bottom of this page.
  • The out-of-state licensee must obtain written approval from Broker of Record for all advertising pieces.
To ensure transparency in licensure,
please ensure separation of the out-of-state firm and Broker of Record information.
